Interviews and signing sessions with top players is near the Aorangi Pavilion.
Babies
For safety reasons the Club recommends that babies should not be
brought to The Championships (see also 'Children' below). However,
if babies are brought into the Grounds they will not be allowed
into the show courts and should remain silent during play on other
courts. A limited number of baby changing facilities are available
but there are no facilities for mothers to 'express milk'.
Bank(HSBC)
Situated just to the north of Gate 3 and open each day of The Championships
from Ground opening to 8pm. Automatic till machines are also
available in the Bank, in the North Concourse and outside Gate 1.
Bicycles
Public bicycle racks are available for free, at the owner's risk,
in Car Parks 6 and 8. Bicycles left in other areas will be removed
by the Police.
Children
Children five years and over will be charged at the full rate. Children
under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult. For safety
reasons babes in arms and pushchairs should not be brought into
the grounds and, in any case, will not be allowed into the show courts.
Cushions
Souvenir cushions are available from The Wimbledon Shops.
Drinking Water
There are numerous drinking water fountains located around the grounds.
First Aid posts
The St John Ambulance Brigade runs four First Aid posts.
Information Desks
A wide variety of information is available from six points around
the grounds.
Lawn Tennis Association
Details of membership (British Tennis Membership), literature and other information
are available from the British Tennis Information Area in No.1 Court (Level
1) near Gate 3.
Left Luggage
Left luggage facilities are provided at a number of locations OUTSIDE
the grounds. Camping equipment, oversize bags, picnic hampers and
other prohibited items or bags not required during your visit to
The Championships must be left at one of these facilities. In the
interests of security and the safety of all our visitors, THERE
ARE NO LEFT LUGGAGE FACILITIES INSIDE THE GROUNDS.
Lost Property
A Lost Property Office is situated under the West Stand of No.3
Court, near Gate 13. Telephone enquiries 020 8971 2251.
Museum
The Wimbledon Lawn Tennis Museum is at Gate 3. The museum is open
daily throughout the year (10:00am–5pm) and, for ticket
holders only, during The Championships from 10:30am to 8pm.
ADMISSION: Adults £8.50; OAPs, students and concessions £7.50; children
under 16 £4.75.
Newsagent
Newspapers (English and foreign) and magazines are available from
the kiosk in No.1 Court (Level 1) near Gate 3.
Order of Play & Results
The full draw of the main Championships events, the daily order
of play and results to date are displayed in the piazza inside Gate
3 (the turnstile entrance) and outside the Debenture Holders' Lounge
at the north side of Centre Court. Scoreboards showing point-by-point scores for matches on Centre and No.1 Courts are located on
the main concourse, outside the No.1 Court Stadium and opposite
Gate 4. Full match information displays are available on the Main
Concourse opposite Court 4 and near Gate 5. Television
monitors showing up-to-date scores, results and other public information
are situated around the grounds.
Park & Ride
Park & Ride facilities will be available at Morden Park via the A240 and A24,
from the A3. Car Parking
Pass-outs
To exit and re-enter the grounds a valid ticket and hand stamp or
a valid ticket and wristband are required. Pass-out wristbands are available at most gates.
Pharmacy
Toiletries, pharmaceuticals and photographic film are available
from the kiosk in No.1 Court (Level 1) near Gate 3.
Photography
Photographs (still or motion) taken inside the grounds may only
be used for private, not commercial, purposes.
Picnic Hampers
Picnic hampers and other hard-sided items of any size will not be
allowed into the grounds.
Play Tennis
Interactive game, set and match fun for kids west of Court 12, near Gate 12.
Police
A Metropolitan Police office is located in the North Hall of Centre
Court.
Programmes
Official programmes, containing daily order of play, essential information
and articles about The Championships may be purchased from kiosks
around the grounds for £7. Final programmes are available from PPL Sport & Leisure, Bradford Hosue, 39A East Street, Epsom, Surrey KT17 1BL for £9 incl. p&p. They are also available online at www.pplsport.com
Radio Wimbledon
Radio Wimbledon is on air daily from 8am throughout The Championships,
providing the latest scores, match reports, background information,
local traffic and weather news. Broadcasting live on 87.7 FM to
a 4-5 mile radius from Wimbledon with two further channels broadcasting
match commentaries from Centre Court (96.3fm) and No1 Court (97.8fm).
Refreshments
There is a large variety of places to eat and drink at The
Championships, catering for everything from formal sit-down dining
to light take-away refreshments.
Security
In the interests of security, The All England Club reserves the right
to search bags, vehicles and the person as a condition of entry
to the Grounds. ONE BAG ONLY PER PERSON WILL BE ALLOWED and this
bag must measure no more than 18" x 12" x 12" (45cm x 30cm x 30cm).
Furthermore, NO HARD-SIDED ITEMS (e.g.: picnic hampers, coolboxes
or briefcases) OF ANY SIZE WILL BE ALLOWED INTO THE GROUNDS. DO NOT LEAVE PACKAGES UNATTENDED AT ANY TIME.
The Wimbledon Shops, in the Centre Court and No.1 Court stadiums, between Gates 3 and 4 and in kiosks around the grounds, stock all official
Wimbledon merchandise and a wide range of gifts and souvenirs. The funds
generated contribute towards the further development of lawn tennis in Great
Britain.
Weather
All visitors to The Championships are reminded to take the appropriate measures for protection of the skin against the sun. You may be in sunlight for long periods when the use of sunscreens and protective hats and clothes is essential. However, even on warm
days it may be cooler in the covered and/or shaded areas of the
stands in Centre and No.1 Courts and an extra layer of clothing may be required.
Wimbledon Village
A short walk from The Championships and you will discover an excellent
selection of restaurants and public houses together with many specialist
and exclusive shops
Wheelchairs
A special map/information leaflet is available at all gates. The recommended
routes are shown on the plan. Wheelchairs may only be taken into designated
positions in the show courts.
There will be reserved spaces for wheelchair
users on the Centre and No.1 Courts at the 2010 Championships. A leaflet
explaining how to enter the ballot for these spaces is available from either
of the Gate 3 or Centre Court (SW Hall) Information Desks during The Championships.
